I am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with double minors in Computer-Aided Engineering Design and Engineering Leadership Development. My passions center around technically inspired design and rapid R&D prototyping.
I am a highly adaptive, technically proficient team player who loves the thrill of new challenges and problem-solving. I am looking to combine my enthusiasm for mechanical design with my passion for biomechanics and sports, which has been fostered through my years playing rugby.
I am currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with minors in Engineering Design and Engineering Leadership Development. During my time here, I have conducted undergraduate research as part of the Human-Centered Robotics Laboratory. Once I graduate, I plan to pursue a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experienced in a diverse range of 3D modeling software, including Inventor and AutoCAD. I am also a certified SOLIDWORKS Associate in Mechanical Design, enabling me to conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis using the software. Additionally, my experience has equipped me to utilize SQL and Python for automation and control work.
Throughout college, I amassed three years of experience in the construction industry, undertaking roles in estimation as well as automation and controls field engineering. While pursuing my degree, I have conducted research as part of the Human-Centered Robotics Lab and Queensland Orthopedic Clinic.
I am looking to combine my passions for 3D Modelling, FEA, and CFD to design products that can make a difference in the lives of those around me.
I am looking to complete a masters in engineering, with the goal of my research being to continue the development of prosthetic design by investigating how the neural control of bionic prostheses can allow users to adapt to the varying requirements placed upon the human body.
I aspire to work in an industry where I can contribute to solving the world's most pressing issues. As an engineer, I inherently embrace problem-solving as an integral part of my profession. Consequently, I am particularly drawn to addressing the challenges that have the most profound impact on people.
In my four years at Pennsylvania State University, I have been an active member of the Penn State men's rugby team. During my tenure on the team, I was honored as a finalist for the Rudy Scholz Award and received accolades as the best forward, as well as the Academic Achievement Award in my senior year.
Throughout my time on the team, I had the privilege of serving on the leadership team, facilitating communication between coaches and players, and honing essential leadership skills. Additionally, I dedicated a weekly 2-hour tutoring session to teammates, focusing on explaining concepts taught in STEM courses at the university.
